Queensland Seed Technology Laboratory
The Queensland Seed Technology Laboratory (QSTL) is an independently owned International Seed Testing Association (ISTA) accredited seed testing laboratory which has been operating in Australia since 2002. QSTL is the only International Seed Testing Accredited laboratory in the Northern Territory, Queensland and New South Wales (AU02).
QSTL specialises in the testing of herbage, forage, vegetable, flower and native seed species for both national and international certificates. QSTL is a Department of Agriculture accredited plant quarantine facility (Q2721) which is involved in seed identification and quality testing of seed imports and exports for DA seed brokers. QSTL also houses a large tropical and subtropical collection with over 15,000 accessions.
QSTL is staffed by experienced seed technologists, all of whom have considerable and often international seed testing experience and training. The staff at QSTL have many years of seed technology experience both in commercial seed testing and seed research.
